Separation

Cotton fibers are meticulously separated from other fabrics, a manual process requiring both skill and patience.

Shredding

The separated pieces are shredded into fine threads and soaked for several days, transforming them into a fine pulp ready for papermaking.

Moulding

In a large vat of water, two artisans carefully press layers of pulp into a wooden frame, backed by tightly stretched cotton, shaping it into rough-edged sheets of paper.

Drying

Excess water is carefully pressed out, resulting in a unique sheet of paper formed from interlocked fibers.

Marbling

The sheets are hung to dry under the sun before each one is hand-marbled with traditional techniques, adding an artistic touch that ensures every wrap is as unique as the gift it holds.
