Join us for a special reception with sustainable fashion designer Larissa von Planta.
Date: Tuesday, September 17, 2024
Time: 18:00 to 21:00
After graduating from Central Saint Martins, one of the world’s best and most famous fashion schools, Larissa von Planta moved to Beirut, where she opened her fashion atelier. After the devastating explosion in the port of Beirut in August 2020, she was looking for a way to provide work for her female artisan partners whose livelihoods had been jeopardized and started a social enterprise.
Larissa’s initiative empowers women artisans in Beirut by offering customizable and ethically transformed garments and homeware. The team revives your white blouse or most comfortable jeans into a unique piece while generating vital and sustainable income for 40 talented women artisans.
Following the conversation, Larissa will guide you through color choices and motifs, sparking your creativity to create truly unique combinations. You can come with your pre-loved garments or bring them to INTWINE at any convenient time until mid-October.
This event is free of charge, but due to the limited number of seats, we kindly ask you to secure your seat at your earliest convenience.
We are delighted to invite you to a unique conversation featuring the artistic insights of Dagmar Matticoli and the expert perspective of Dr. Cornelia Kawann, an Electrical Engineer and Personal Energy Strategist.
